A talent development professional with a passion for helping people reach their potential, Melissa brings more than 20 years of experience implementing all components of talent management, including change management, facilitation, organizational effectiveness, instructional design and learning and leadership development. Known for staying on the leading edge of technology and talent trends, Melissa integrates the business and people aspects together to find solutions that drive business impact.
Prior to Verity, Melissa has had a diverse career that has always centered around people development. She has worked across a number of industries and sectors, including software, retail, insurance, and utilities and government. More recently, Melissa worked as an Organizational Development Consultant as part of the Global Talent Management function for a large organization, where she had accountability for developing and delivering talent solutions for all levels and functions.
Melissa earned a Masters in Leadership from Royal Roads BC, in addition to her Learning Diploma from Ryerson. She holds a number of certifications, including MBTI, Belbin Team Roles, Change Management, Emotional Intelligence (EQi 2.0), Coaching Ourselves and Conversational IntelligenceTM. Melissa is a board member on the Toronto Organizational Development Network and is an active member in the Talent and Organizational Development community.
