Karen is a Career Coach, Trainer and Speaker with expertise in guiding, developing and supporting individuals through training and development initiatives.
Karen motivates and guides Verity clients in achieving their short and long-term career goals. Her resourcefulness and ability to relate to individuals from a variety of backgrounds and professional levels allows her to help clients move quickly and comfortably into the next phase of their career.
As the owner and President of Natural Leaders in Progress, a company focusing on developing leaders within their careers and/or personal lives, Karen offers Leadership Development courses such as Time Management and Communication, as well as Career Transition Services working with clients on their resumes, interview skills, cover letters, and Networking techniques.
Prior to starting her own business and joining Verity, Karen was a National Training Manger with Extreme Brandz where she was responsible for program development and maintaining company standards and consistency, as well as leading a team of trainers who worked with field support in meeting companywide KPI's. Additionally, she worked with outside partnerships to develop and execute blended learning programs throughout the organization.
Karen has also worked with Cara Operations as a Training Specialist. During her tenure she focused on the leadership development of management and teammates, developed course material and facilitated courses across Canada. Additionally, she managed restaurant openings, specializing in the training and development of management and their teams.
Karen is a Career Management Professional (CMP) – Career Transition Specialist, and holds an NPL Coaching and Professional Coaching Certification as well as a Diploma in Business Administration from Centennial College. Additionally, she has taken a number of leadership courses including Situation Leadership and Train the Trainer.
