Alan Georgeson capitalizes on his many years of experience in career consulting, as well as a diverse, generalist background in human resources to counsel and guide clients in Verity’s career management & transition practice.
Alan has extensive experience in providing organizational change and transition consulting services in a wide variety of industry sectors. He offers guidance in the development of restructuring strategy and provides training and other tactical support to managers.
Prior to joining Verity, Alan was an Assistant General Manager for Human Resources at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). Here he was responsible for a wide variety of functional areas, including human resources planning, recruitment, selection, compensation and records administration.
Previously, as Regional Manager for Human Resources, Alan led the design and development of a human resources organization to support line management following a major organizational change initiative at the bank.
Alan also has extensive experience in training and development. While at CIBC, he managed the bank’s management training facility and regularly conducted courses in leadership and motivation, marketing, and general management.
Alan studied Human Resources at the Banff School of Advanced Management and the University of Western Ontario.
