Bob Boyd, M.Ed. CHRP
Bob coaches individuals on all aspects of career management and development. He brings 20 years of experience to Verity’s customers specializing in corporate restructuring, change management, organizational renewal and individual career consultancy.
Prior to joining Verity, Bob was the Vice President of Client Services at the global consulting firm Right Management Consultants. In this role, he consulted with national and global organizations on corporate restructuring and change initiatives, earning a reputation for responsiveness and exceptional customer service. With a strong reputation for being a mentor and coach, Bob also managed his own consulting business, providing business development, career transition, restructuring and coaching services to several other prominent firms in the human resources consulting arena.
Bob began his consulting career as Principal of Human Resources and Career Consultancy at Peat Marwick Stevenson Kellogg (KPMG). He specialized in downsizing, corporate restructuring, outplacement counselling, career and retirement planning, change management and organizational renewal. Bob developed strategies and managed the logistical plans for staff reductions in numerous organizations, ranging up to 2500 employees. He designed severance formulas, communication programs and a wide variety of voluntary and involuntary separation packages in order to assist his corporate customers through their restructuring efforts.
Before entering the consulting industry, Bob spent over 10 years as a senior human resources executive in both corporate and divisional roles, working within unionized and non-union environments and across a variety of industries. He was the Vice President of Human Resources at Nabisco Brands and worked in senior human resource roles at Warner-Lambert, Canron and Trench Electric. Known for his expertise in facilitating culture and climate change, Bob also has previous experience in all three levels of education as a teacher, administrator and counselor.
Bob earned his Bachelor of Arts (Honours Psychology) and a Graduate Diploma in Institutional Administration from Concordia University, his Masters of Education in Counselling and a first class teaching diploma from McGill University. Bob is certified and accredited in a number of assessment tools, and has received his Certified Coach Practitioner Designation (CCP). Bob is an active member of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) and the Strategic Capability Network (SCNetwork). He was also a founding member of I.A.O.P. in Canada and served as past President for two terms of the I.A.C.M.P. (now ACP).
