Dauna Atkins strives to bring out the best in people. She takes great pride in seeing individuals flourish throughout their personal and professional development. A certified coach and professional career consultant, Dauna focuses her talents towards assisting Verity clients and corporate customers to navigate successfully through personal and organizational change.
Prior to joining Verity, Dauna gained business experience in the petroleum industry. She was the Leadership Network Advisor at Esso Petroleum Canada where she coordinated leading edge, experiential learning workshops, designed to achieve culture change and employee empowerment.
She held progressive team leadership and management roles at Texaco Canada Inc. the credit card and public relations groups. There, she gained extensive experience in customer service, marketing, compensation, succession planning, and staff development.
Dauna’s career management & transition experience spans a wide variety of industry sectors, including private and public companies, as well as not-for-profit organizations.
She has developed and delivered work-search workshops and enrichment seminars, conducted sensitive exit interviews and coached individuals through the process of acquiring the self- knowledge and insights necessary for effective career management.
Dauna is a certified coach in Verity’s talent & organizational consulting practice, with particular expertise and experience in situational coaching and management of change. She is also qualified and certified in a number of assessment tools, including MBTI, Strong Interest Inventory, LSI 1 and Birkman First Look.
A graduate of the Adler Professional School of Coaching, Dauna has been a member of the International Coach Federation and of the Association of Career Professionals International.
